Gregorymys mixtecorum
Taxonomy
Gregorymys mixtecorum was named by Ortiz-Caballero et al. (2020). Its type specimen is UMPE 260, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santiago Yolomécatl, Iniyoo Local Fauna, which is in a Bartonian/Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/chert in the Yolomécatl Formation of Mexico.
