It was assigned to Pecora by Geraads et al. (1987); to Leptomerycidae by Carroll (1988); to Prodremotheridae by Guo et al. (1999); to Gelocidae by Vislobokova (2001); and to Ruminantia by Mennecart and Métais (2015).
