Vectaerovenator inopinatus
Taxonomy
Vectaerovenator inopinatus was named by Barker et al. (2020). Its type specimen is IWCMS 2020.407, 2019.84, 2020.400, a set of vertebrae, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Knock Cliff, which is in an Aptian marginal marine sandstone in the Ferruginous Sands Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Vectaerovenator.
