Taxonomy
Kayentapus ambrokholohali was named by Sciscio et al. (2017). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is BP/6/735, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Matobo tracksite, which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian floodplain sandstone in the Elliot Formation of Lesotho.

L. Sciscio et al. 2017two very large, 57 cm long and 50 cm wide, gracile tridactyl pes impressions with wide total divarication (II^IV) is 63°. The metatarsophalangeal pad of digit IV is well-defined and the margin is V-shaped.The free length of digit IV is greater than that of digit II. Depth of track depression is 17 mm proximal to the metatarsophalangeal pad and shallows to 14 mm towards the distal digits.
