Taxonomy
Chauliodites sakmaris was named by Aristov (2020). Its type specimen is PIN 5640/4, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Petropavlovka III (PIN collection 5640), which is in a Spathian pond siltstone in the Petropavlovka Formation of the Russian Federation.
