Germanonautilus ellipticus
Taxonomy
Germanonautilus ellipticus was named by Parnes (1986). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Department of Geology, Hebrew University, Jerusalem, HU-30940. Its type locality is Makhtesh Ramon (Saharonim Fm., upper Fossiliferous Limestone Mb.), which is in a Fassanian carbonate limestone in the Saharonim Formation of Israel.
