Taxonomy
Ceratites vindelicus was named by von Mojsisovics (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Reutte, which is in an Anisian carbonate limestone in Austria.

It was recombined as Paraceratites vindelicus by Spath (1934).
