Taxonomy
Shasticrioceras patricki was named by Murphy (1975). Its type specimen is UCR 5128/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 3014, Mitchell Creek area, which is in a Barremian marine horizon in the Budden Canyon Formation of California.
