Taxonomy
Eosoproetus zhengi was named by Zhou et al. (2000). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is C007. Zhusilenghaierhan area, which is in an Eifelian marine sandstone in the Yikewsusu Formation of China. It is the type species of Eosoproetus.
