Taxonomy
Dechenella martenbergensis was named by Richter and Richter (1926). Its type specimen is SMF 79966 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Martenberg near Adorf, which is in a Frasnian marine horizon in the Adorf Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Cyrtodechenella martenbergensis by Ormiston (1967); it was recombined as Clavibole martenbergensis by Hahn et al. (1982).
