Taxonomy
Syringocyathus inyoensis was named by Okulitch (1954). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP A-6988, Westgard Pass, which is in a Montezuman/Dyeran reef, buildup or bioherm limestone/shale in the Poleta Formation of California.
