Alexoceras mazaevi

Taxonomy
Alexoceras mazaevi was named by Leonova and Shchedukhin (2020). Its type specimen is PIN 5668/24, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Shakh-Tau Shikhan (Asselian carbonates), which is in an Asselian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Holodnolog Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Alexoceras.
