Paradechenella lunata

Taxonomy
Paradechenella lunata was named by Zhou et al. (2000). Its type specimen is XIG TR569, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is B013A. Zhusilenghaierhan area, which is in an Emsian marine sandstone in the Zhusileng Formation of China.

Zhou et al. 2000Paradechenella with broad, subquadrate glabella, 0.8 times as long as wide, tapering weakly forwards; lateral occipital lobes abaxially confluent with preoccipital glabella; preglabellar field extremely short (sag.), less than 0.1 times glabellar length; anterior border very long (sag.), up to 0.33 times glabellar length; hypostoma broad (tr.), with width across lateral shoulders 0.8 times its sagittal length; pygidium with short mucro, 15 axial rings and 12-13 pleural ribs.
