Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
M. Vianey-Liaud et al. 1997 (Megaloolithus pseudomamillare)As for Megaloolithus mamillare, however, differs in the following: frequently coalescing nodes; limits of the short fan-shaped units not always traceable, generally clear in the inner half or third of the shell thickness; growth striations often continuing across adjacent units, often horizontal at the base of the units and becoming more and more convex upwards; pore canals generally straight with a few of them being oblique (figure); shell thickness from 1,03 to 1,6 mm.

A. G. Sellés and B. Vila 2015Spherical eggs 140–200 mm in diameter; nodes ornamentation, eggshell 1.0–1.70 mm thick; average node diameter about 0.60 mm; fan-shaped spheroliths distinct or even partially fused; height/width ratio 2.32:1; pore subcircular to elliptical; swollen-ended, variably spaced basal caps (0.2–0.3 mm in diameter).
M. S. Fernández and A. Khosla 2015Spherical eggs 140–200 mm in diameter; nodose ornamentation, eggshell 1.0–1.70 mm thick;average node diameter about 0.60 mm; fan-shaped spheroliths distinct or even partially fused; height/width ratio 2.32:1; pore subcircular to elliptical; swollen-ended variably spaced basal caps (0.2–0.3 mm in diameter) (Figure 4(a)–(c)).
