Tubulodon was named by Jepsen (1932). It is not extant. Its type is Tubulodon taylori.
It was assigned to Tubulidentata by Pickford (1975); to Epoicotheriidae by Jepsen (1932) and Rose (1978); and to Palaeanodonta by Carroll (1988).
