Aelurotherium latidens

Taxonomy
Aelurotherium latidens was named by Marsh (1872) [accidentally named in confusion over type of Limnofelis latidens; also said to be 1901]. Its type locality is Grizzly Buttes, which is in a Bridgerian terrestrial horizon in the Bridger Formation of Wyoming.

It was synonymized subjectively with Patriofelis latidens by Thorpe (1923); it was synonymized subjectively with Patriofelis ferox by Matthew (1909) and Gazin (1976).
