Taxonomy
Xiaohenautilus mulleni was named by Jenks et al. (2021). Its type specimen is NMMNH P-81693, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is NMMNH L-12683, Long Canyon, which is in a Griesbachian marine mudstone in the Dinwoody Formation of Nevada.
