Amelotabes simpsoni
Taxonomy
Amelotabes simpsoni was named by Rose (1978). Its type specimen is PU 14855, a mandible (right dentary with p2-3, m1-2, and alveoli), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is South of Croc Tooth Quarry, which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Amelotabes.
