Cooperrhynchia schucherti
Taxonomy
Rhynchonella schucherti was named by Stanton (1895). Its type specimen is USNM 23017 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM loc. 23051, Paskenta, which is in a Tithonian/Tithonian marine mudstone in the Stony Creek Formation of California. It is the type species of Cooperrhynchia.
It was recombined as Cooperrhynchia schucherti by Sandy and Campbell (1994) and Kiel et al. (2008).
