Taxonomy
Lima erringtoni was named by Gabb (1864). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mariposa Estate, Bear Valley, which is in a Jurassic terrestrial horizon in the Mariposa Formation of California.
It was recombined as Aucella erringtoni by Meek (1865) and Hyatt (1894); it was recombined as Buchia erringtoni by Crickmay (1933).
