Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
C. Stock 1939Smaller than Amynodon advenus, A. antiquus and A. erectus and resembling A. sinensis in size. Pf is narrow in anteroposterior diameter in comparison to its transverse width, more so than in A. sinensis. Principal axis of metaloph in P! at right angles to external border of tooth. I take pleasure in naming this species for Dr. Ralph D. Reed, penetrating student of California geology.
