Taxonomy
Myonia (Pachymyonia) longa was named by Astafieva-Urbaitis (1976).

It was synonymized subjectively with Myonia (Myonia) carinata by Muromtseva and Guskov (1984); it was recombined as Australomya longa by Biakov (2021).
