Taxonomy
Miniconus jeanninae was named by Atteberry and Eberle (2021). Its type specimen is UCM 103181, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCM locality 2011035 (Pu1), which is in a Puercan channel sandstone in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
