Aphelops cristalatus

Taxonomy
Aphelops cristalatus was named by Henshaw (1942). Its type specimen is CIT 2806, a maxilla (part of the left maxillary, C.I.T. no. 2806 (pl. 10; fig. 1), and a part of the left mandible, C.I.T. no. 2807), and it is a 3D body fossil.

crochet and crista occurring almost always. P1 large, almond-shaped. · Dm2 long, very narrow, no protoconid-hypoconid valley. and normally proportioned as in modern rhinoceroses, not shortened as in Teleoceras.
