Aphronorus orieli
Taxonomy
Aphronorus orieli was named by Gazin (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 23680, a tooth (right [lower] P4), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Little Muddy Creek (Fossil Basin), which is in a Tiffanian terrestrial siliciclastic in the Evanston Formation of Wyoming.
