Xiang 1998A new genus of Cyrtosymbolinae Hupe, 1953 with the following characteristic combination of features: Cranidium strongly vaulted; glabella long and slender, subconical in outline, bluntly rounded anteriorly, with 3 pairs of very faint glabellar furrows; preglabellar field absent; occipital ring pl ump, without lateral occipital lobe; anterior border broad (exsag.), cushion -like ; anterior border furrow very shallow; anterior branches of facial sutures (fJ r ) long, running nearly parallel forward , posterior branches with moderately long straight section £ -f; ; palpebral lobe moderately long, gently projecting outwards; r and £ distant from dorsal furrow; eye medium in size; eye platform present; free cheek without genal spine.
Pygidium semicircular to subtriangular in outline, with demarcated broad pygidial border; axis relatively short, with 7-8 axial rings; pleural area with 6-7 pairs of pleural ribs, of which anterior bands are somewhat dominating; pleural and interpleural furrows narrow and distinct; sculpture: granular.
