Macaranga siwalika
Taxonomy
Macaranga siwalika was named by Antal and Awasthi (1993). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow, BSIP 36944. Its type locality is Right bank of Ghish River, Oodlabari, which is in a Miocene/Pliocene fluvial claystone/siltstone in India.
