Taxonomy
Aycrossia lovei was named by Bown (1979) [genotype]. It is not extant. It is the type species of Aycrossia.
It was synonymized subjectively with Anaptomorphus aemulus by Gingerich (1981); it was recombined as Anaptomorphus lovei by Eaton (1982); it was recombined as Absarokius lovei by Szalay (1982).
