Busuanga was named by Yeh (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi].

It was replaced with Ansubuga by Yeh (1990).

It was assigned to Pentactinocarpidae by De Wever et al. (2001); and to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
