Taxonomy
Tropidocoryphe (Tropidocoryphe) mediterranea was named by Feist (1976). Its type specimen is FSL 350 168, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Summit of Mont Peyroux, Causses-et-Veyran, which is in an Eifelian carbonate limestone in the Mont Peyroux Formation of France.
