Bassariscus parvus

Taxonomy
Bassariscus parvus was named by Hall (1927). Its type specimen is UCMP V-19768, a mandible (left mandible with broken p2 and p3, p4-m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stewart Spring, which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Esmeralda Formation of Nevada.

It was synonymized subjectively with Probassariscus antiquus by Voorhies (1990).
