Taxonomy
Rhynchotrema capax arcticum was named by Roy (1941). Its type specimen is FM P28277 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Lepidocyclus arcticus by Miller et al. (1954); it was recombined as Rhynchotrema arcticum by Bolton (1977); it was recombined as Lepidocyclus arctica by Bolton (2000); it was recombined as Hiscobeccus arcticus by Sohrabi Hashjin (2013).
