Taxonomy
Beltella lata was named by Tomczykowa (1968). Its type specimen is MUZPIG 1042.11.11, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Leptoplastides latus by Zylinska (2001).
