Rhynchotherium blicki
Taxonomy
Blickotherium blicki was named by Frick (1933) [genotype]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tepusuna Hill, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Gracias Formation of Honduras. It is the type species of Blickotherium.
It was recombined as Gomphotherium blicki by Tobien (1973); it was recombined as Rhynchotherium blicki by Webb and Tessman (1968), Webb and Perrigo (1984), Shoshani and Tassy (1996) and Lambert and Shoshani (1998).
