Taxonomy
Shashajaia bermani was named by Huttenlocker et al. (2021). It is not extant. Its type specimen is CM 96529 (an isolated left dentary preserving the dentition ). Its type locality is Birthday Bonebed, which is in a Kasimovian/Kungurian fluvial mudstone in the Halgaito Formation of Utah.
