Taxonomy
Bryceomys fumosus was named by Eaton (1995) [genotype]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MNA 995, Jimmy Canyon, which is in a Turonian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Straight Cliffs Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Bryceomys.
