Cantius abditus

Taxonomy
Pelycodus abditus was named by Gingerich and Simons (1977). Its type specimen is UM 66000, a mandible (right and left mandibles), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Reservoir Creek Bonanza, which is in a Wasatchian terrestrial horizon in the Willwood Formation of Wyoming.

It was recombined as Cantius abditus by Gingerich and Haskin (1981).
