Cantius actius
Taxonomy
Hesperolemur actius was named by Gunnell (1995). Its type specimen is SDSNH 35233, a skull (compressed skull with left and right P4-M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Azuaga II Site 5 (SDSNH 3413), which is in an Uintan terrestrial horizon in the Friars Formation of California. It is the type species of Hesperolemur.
It was recombined as Cantius actius by Rose et al. (1999).
