Peirates oeningensis

Taxonomy
Pirates oeningensis was named by Heer (1853). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Oeningen (von Seyfried collection), which is in a Sarmatian crater lake limestone in the Upper Freshwater-Molasse Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Peirates oeningensis by Zhang et al. (2016).
