Cedaromys bestia

Taxonomy
Paracimexomys bestia was named by Eaton and Nelson (1991) [this follows insofar as Megatylopus is not a synonym of Paracamelus]. Its type specimen is MNA V5658 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is OMNH V823, Mussentuchit, which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial horizon in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Paracimexomys, Cedaromys.

It was recombined as Cedaromys bestia by Eaton and Cifelli (2001) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
