Taxonomy
Cimexomys judithae was named by Sahni (1972). Its type locality is Clambank Hollow Quarry, which is in a Campanian/Campanian fine channel fill claystone in the Judith River Formation of Montana.
It was recombined as Paracimexomys judithae by Archibald (1982) and Flynn (1986).
