Taxonomy
Ulmus prelanceaefolia was named by Zhang and Xing (2018). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Kunming Institute of Botany, DMS-0187, a seed/fruit. Its type locality is Dashidong, Wenshan (shale unit), which is in a Miocene lacustrine - large shale in the Xiaolongtan Formation of China.
