Taxonomy
Elaeagnus tibetensis was named by Su and Zhou (2014). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Herbarium of Kunming Institute of Botany, PC2014001, a leaf. Its type locality is Kajun, Markam (bed MK3), which is in a Priabonian fluvial siltstone/mudstone in the Lawula Formation of China.
