Taxonomy
Chrysophyllum bhairauvensis was named by Prasad et al. (2017). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BSIP Museum No. 41368, a leaf. Its type locality is Bhairauv Mandir, Purniyagiri Road Locality 10, which is in a Miocene fluvial shale in the Lower Formation of India.
