Taxonomy
Cedrelospermum asiaticum was named by Jia et al. (2015). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Kunming Institute of Botany, MG0002, a seed/fruit. Its type locality is Maguan, which is in a Miocene lacustrine - large horizon in the Huazhige Formation of China.
