Taxonomy
Celastrus caducidentatus was named by Liang and Zhou (2016). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, SZT-0250, a leaf. Its type locality is Sanzhangtian, Zhenyuan, which is in a Miocene fluvial sandstone in the Dajie Formation of China.
