Taxonomy
Ekweeconfractus amorui was named by Flink et al. (2021). Its type specimen is KNM-MO 64199, a skull (cranium with left P1–M2, right P3–M3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Moruorot, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Lothidok Formation of Kenya. It is the type species of Ekweeconfractus.
