Lithopilium
Taxonomy
Lithopilium was named by Popofsky (1913) [Podocyrtidae with a shell having a basal opening and three radial apophyses, elongated as ribs on a part of the thorax with free terminations elevated above the thorax, as lattice winglets. The proximal part of the apophyses is united to the apical horn as to form an internal spicule.] (In German. Translated by J.P.C)]. It is extant. It was considered monophyletic by Popofsky (1913).
