Taxonomy
Daphoenodon notionastes was named by Frailey (1979) [not listed by Hunt 1998b and presumably not considered valid by him]. Its type locality is Buda Mine, which is in a Chattian sinkhole claystone in the Crystal River Formation of Florida.
