Turgidodon praesagus
Taxonomy
Delphodon praesagus was named by Russell (1952). Its type locality is 6.4 km below mouth of Berry Creek, which is in a Judithian terrestrial horizon in the Oldman Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Turgidodon.
It was recombined as Alphadon praesagus by Sahni (1972), Clemens (1973), Clemens (1979), Fox (1979) and Montellano (1992); it was recombined as Turgidodon praesagus by Cifelli (1990), Eaton (1993), Johanson (1996) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
